Why Not To Shout Back When You Are Angry?

“What’s wrong?” “Nothing,” she replied to all those who asked her the question. It was just that the always talkative Sana was out of words today. She was not upset, not even sad. She just didn’t want to speak today. Sad? No! Upset? No! Sometimes, you are just bluntly blank. Sometimes, it’s just that you want to detach yourself from the world and sit at a place that grants you nothing but peace. This often happens after a deep and dark fight with the ones you love the most. You are not upset, you are not even sad…you are just blank. You don’t know what to do and how to react and all you can do is go mute.

The best solution to calm the upheaval inside the heart is to stay hushed and relaxed. It’s just a way of healing your own heart. Sana was doing exactly the same. She kept silent for the day, as if meditating; only smiling where it was “very important” and “absolutely required.” She didn’t want people to take her silence for something that she wasn’t even feeling. No she was definitely not upset, but it was her own little mechanism to keep her mind and heart calm from the storm that was going on inside. In situations like these, all she did was shut up the world, disengage from others, close the eyes and feel the black. Eventually, when the thoughts started forming inside the head, the colours too started forming in front of the closed eyes and it felt beautiful.

Sana tried never to say wrong to anyone and when people said things to her that way, she often never reacted and in fact retracted herself from the situation. It was her own mind and heart machinery and she had mastered the art of not saying things to anyone, especially when she was in a dire mood because she knew that it was during that time that a person can hurt someone else. Yes, things hurt her..yes, she wanted to just run away at times and never come back; but then she understood that people who loved her sometimes said things just because she was the only one to listen to them. May be, they were not in a good mood and may be they wanted to outflow their own emotions on her, which is why she was chosen.

Whenever you are angry or have things in mind, it is best to keep your mouth shut than utter nonsense to others because it can further aggravate the ongoing tiff. Forgive and let go; but take your time to heal.

Sit alone and think. But make sure that you think positive. Go somewhere and never let anyone know where you are. But make sure that you are safe. Detach yourself from the world; switch off your mobile, stay away from the Internet and for that particular time, do not talk to people. It takes a lot of inner strength but it is definitely better than shouting back. Go to the lonely place, sit, think, shout and cry; but then again make sure that you let the pain go away and never let it affect you or the relationships that matter more than your anger. That’s because anger goes and relationship stays. It’s your personal choice. You can either choose anger or the relations that matter.

Most of all, do not talk to people about it. That’s because it’s a matter related to your life; whether it’s a sorrow or a little issue, but it is yours and you definitely have no right to pass on your sorrows or the issues of your life to others. Do not spread the negativity. Stay composed and do not talk to people about it, no matter what. Yes, you are often told that talking to people about your problems can solve it, but talking to others about the problems associated with your life or your relations is not a justice to the important relationships of your own life. Do not give an opportunity to others to think that things are wrong in your relations and that the ones you love are troubling you. If still, it is so important to talk about the problem, make sure that you directly talk to the one who is responsible for it in the first place. This solves the problem and clears all that has accumulated in your heart. Anger disconnects you to the people you love. Make sure that the anger remains healthy and can be solved. Do not let it remain there and never ever in your life let is disconnect you to the one you love the most!

Writing for me is another word for 'breathing.' It is my addiction and I wish and hope that this addiction takes me far in realizing my dream of being a very successful writer. I believe in laughter with my friends, dipping into my thoughts and extracting some really powerful and inspiring stories. I believe in living free, spending each day with a lot more courage and strength. I love lone reading and my dream is to have a beautiful huge library in a home, with a coffee vending machine in the corner and a bean bag where I can just sit and read whatever I want- no one to disturb and no one to intrude my privacy, my "me-time." Keep Reading!! Disclaimer: All the stories on this blog are purely a work of fiction and writer's own imagination and are not copied from anywhere else. DO NOT COPY any of these stories.
